Free Single Crochet Pattern for the Sun and Sea Beanie

- Yarn: Worsted Weight (4) Acrylic Yarn I used Caron Simply Soft Yarn
- Color A – White
- Color B – Sunshine
- Color C – Persimmon
- Color D – Soft Green
- Color E – Cool Green
- Hook Size: J 5.50mm
- Scissors
- Yarn Needle

- sc: Single Crochet
- st: Stitch sts: Stitches
- sl st: Slip Stitch
- FLO: Front Loop Only

Notes:
Do not join rounds, work in a continuous spiral.
When the pattern calls for Color Change, change yarn color on the last stitch of the previous row. (If you do not know how to change yarn color you can learn how in Lesson Two).

Start with color A
Row 1: 6 sc in a Magic Circle (6)
Row 2: 2 sc in each st around (12)
Row 3: (2 sc in the first st, 1 sc in the next st) 6 times (18)
Row 4: (2 sc in the first st, 1 sc in each of the next 2 sts) 6 times (24)
Row 5: (2 sc in the first st, 1 sc in each of the next 3 sts) 6 times (30)
Row 6: (2 sc in the first st, 1 sc in each of the next 4 sts) 6 times (36)
Row 7: (2 sc in the first st, 1 sc in each of the next 5 sts) 6 times (42)
Row 8: (2 sc in the first st, 1 sc in each of the next 6 sts) 6 times (48)
Row 9: (2 sc in the first st, 1 sc in each of the next 7 sts) 6 times (54)
Row 10: (2 sc in the first st, 1 sc in each of the next 8 sts) 6 times (60)
Row 11: 1 sc in each st around (60)
Row 12- 17: repeat Row 11 (60)
Change Color to color B
Row 18 – 19: repeat Row 11
Change Color to color C
Row 20 – 21: repeat Row 11
Change Color to color D
Row 22 – 23: repeat Row 11
Change Color to color E
Row 24 – 25: repeat Row 11
Change Color to color A
Row 26 – 35: repeat Row 11
Row 36: FLO sc in each stitch around (60)
Join with a sl st in the next st
Fasten off and weave in ends with yarn needle.
