Beginner Stitches

The slip stitch is the shortest of all crochet stitches. They are primarily used to join when working in rounds, or they are used to move across stitches without adding extra height.

Begin with a length of chains.

Step 1: Insert the hook in the second chain from the hook, yarn over and pull a loop through the work and the loop on the hook.

Step 2: Repeat step 1 in each chain to the end.
