Crocheting Around the Post 

Crocheting around the post of a stitch from the previous row, instead of into the loops. Post crochet creates a neat texture. There are two ways to do post stitches, Front Post and Back Post. 

Front Post

Front post stitches are raised crochet stitches That are worked around the post of the previous row’s stitch. 

Back Post

Abbreviation – BP

Back post stitches appear receded on the side of the crocheted fabric that’s facing you. They are worked around the post of a stitch from the previous row.
