Finishing a Crochet Project
Finishing a crochet project properly is important to insure it doesn’t unravel. In this lesson you’ll learn how to securely fasten off your work. Then how to weave in the ends so they stay in place.
Fasten Off
When you finish a crochet pattern, you’ll fasten off the yarn so the stitches do not unravel. In this video I’ll show you two ways to fasten off, the first way leaves a cleaner edge and the second is more secure. I use both depending on what my project is used for.
Weaving in Ends
When you finish your crochet project, you must weave in your ends to keep it secure. It can be tedious, but it is necessary! Weaving in ends doesn’t take a lot of concentration, but you do need to do it correctly to make sure your project doesn’t unravel. I tend to weave the ends while I’m watching a movie. Yay for multi-tasking!!!
