Adding an Edge on Crochet

To clean up the edges of a finished piece, you may choose to add a border. Always start my edging your project with a row of single crochet first. This row cleans up the edge and makes it easier to work the following rows for the actual border.

When placing your edging stitches up the sides of the crochet piece work single crochet stitches evenly depending on what stitch you used- single crochet gets one stitch, double crochet gets two stitches, and triple crochet gets three.

Once you have the edging finished, you can leave as is or add the border of your choosing.
