Be Mine… Valentine Beanie
Love is in the air! St. Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. This crochet heart beanie pattern brings basic stitches together to create a fun design that is quick to work up. You’ll be feeling the love in no time!

Be Mine Beanie
Materials:
- Yarn: Caron Simply Soft
- A –White
- B –Harvest Red
- C –Soft Pink
- Hook: H/8 5.00mm
- Pom-Pom Maker
- Scissors
- Yarn Needle
Sizing:
- Gauge:
- 16 Stitches x 17 rows = 4”x4”
- This pattern comes in the following sizes:
- Adult Women
- (one sizes fits most)
Stitches:
- ch – Chain
- sc – Single Crochet
- BLO – Back Loop Only
- slst – Slip Stitch
- st/sts – Stitch/Stitches
This beanie is worked in three parts – The Headband, The Heart Graph, and The Closing.
Pattern Instructions
Headband
ch. 16
1. sc in the second chain from the hook and in each chain to the end. (15)
Change to Color B – Red
4. ch1, turn, BLOsc in each st. across to end.
Change to Color C – Pink
5. – 72. repeat rows 3 and 4, alternating Red and Pink yarn.
Fasten Off and weave in the yarn end.
Heart Graph
The rest of this pattern will be worked in the round.
Attach Color A – White to headband.
1. ch1, evenly place 72 sc sts on top of headband, join with a slip stitch in the first sc made.
2. -3. ch1, sc in same space, single crochet in each st around, join with a slst
For rows 4 – 15 you chain 1, sc in the same space and each stitch around, changing color by following the graph above. You can cut the yarn after each color change or you can carry the yarn.

4. ch1, (white 7sc), (red 1sc), (white 13sc), (pink 1sc), (white 13sc), (red 1sc), (white 13sc), (Pink 1sc), (white 13sc), (red 1sc), (white 8sc), Join with slst in the first sc made.
5. ch1, (white 6sc), (red 3sc), (white 11sc), (pink 3sc), (white 11sc), (red 3sc), (white 11sc), (Pink 3sc), (white 11sc), (red 3sc), (white 7sc), Join with slst in the first sc.
6. ch1, (white 5sc), (red 5sc), (white 9sc), (pink 5sc), (white 9sc), (red 5sc), (white 9sc), (Pink 5sc), (white 9sc), (red 5sc), (white 6sc), Join with slst in the first sc.

Do Not Fasten Off
Closing
18. ch1, *sc in the next 4 sts, sc2tog, repeat from * to the end of the round, join with a slst.
19. ch1, *sc in the next 3 sts, sc2tog, repeat from * to the end of the round, join with a slst.
20. ch1, *sc in the next 2 sts, sc2tog, repeat from * to the end of the round, join with a slst.
21. ch1, *sc in the next st, sc2tog, repeat from * to the end of the round, join with a slst.
22. ch1, *sc2tog, repeat from * to the end of the round, join with a slst.
23. ch1, sc through the first and sixth stitches, then sc through the third and ninth sts, ch1, Fasten off and weave in all yarn ends.
