Cali Baby Blanket Pattern
This Cali baby blanket pattern is inspired by my hometown. I was blessed to be born and raised in sunny San Diego, CA. The colors remind me of a sunset at the beach. The stitch used is Lemon Peel, a nod to the citrus field in California.
Why base a design on a State? It all started when I was shopping for paint. I came across a paint line based on all 50 States and was inspired to do something similar in crochet. I also designed a blanket for Kansas… Find the Pattern Here!

Supplies:
- Yarn: Caron Simply Soft
- Hook: I – 5.5mm
- Yarn Needle
- Scissors
Crochet Pattern Instructions
Starting with White ch 103.
1. Single crochet in the 2nd chain from the hook, double crochet in the next chain, *single crochet in the next chain, double crochet in the next chain, repeat from the * to the end of the row.
2. Chain 1, turn your work, single crochet in the first stitch, double crochet in the next stitch, *sc in the next stitch, dc in the next stitch, repeat from * to the end of the row. (The last stitch of the row should be a double crochet)
Additional Rows: Repeat row 2 and follow the guide below for color changes.
