Start with making a foundation chain. Multiple: Any number of stitches, plus one.
For todays swatch I’ll be starting with a chain of 11 stitches.
1: (Row 1) Single crochet two together into the second and third chain from the hook.
2: *Single crochet two together by inserting the hook in the same chain as the last stitch, then in to the next chain. Repeat from * to the end of the row. Turn your work.
3: (Row 2) Chain one, single crochet two together over the first and second sc2tog from the previous row, *Single crochet two together by inserting the hook in the same place as the last stitch, then in the next sc2tog; Repeat from * to the end of the row. The last sc2tog stitch will be worked over the same space as last stitch made and the ch1 space (turning chain). Turn your work
Additional rows: Repeat step three for each new row.
Now that you know the stitch, lets make a washcloth!
